1Acceptance of Terms

By accessing Farpace ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease use of the Service.

2Description of Service

Farpace is a public record search engine and data aggregator. We provide an organized, searchable interface for information filed with the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety (LADBS). Farpace does not create, maintain, or guarantee the accuracy of these public records.

3Professional Use Only

This Service is intended for use by licensed contractors, trade professionals, and real estate researchers. You agree to use the data provided solely for lawful, professional purposes.

4FCRA Compliance & Restrictions (CRITICAL)

Farpace is not a "Consumer Reporting Agency" as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).

Prohibited Use

You are strictly prohibited from using any data obtained from Farpace to determine an individual's eligibility for:

  • Personal Credit or Insurance
  • Employment
  • Tenant Screening / Housing
  • Any other purpose covered by the FCRA

Liability

Any user found using the Service for these purposes will have their account terminated and may face direct legal action from affected parties.

5Credit System & Payments

  • Credits: Access to property addresses requires "Data Credits." 1 Credit = 1 Record Reveal.
  • No Refunds: Credits are non-refundable and have no cash value.
  • Pricing: We reserve the right to change credit pricing at any time.

6Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS-IS." Farpace does not warrant that the data is accurate, complete, or up-to-date. Because our data is a mirror of government filings, we are not responsible for:

  • Errors or omissions in the original LADBS filing.
  • Outdated property ownership information.
  • Temporary downtime of the Service.

7Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by California law, Farpace's total liability for any claim arising out of your use of the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid for credits in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. Under no circumstances shall Farpace be liable for lost profits, lost business opportunities, or any indirect damages.

8Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Farpace and its operators from any claims, damages, or legal fees resulting from your misuse of the data, including but not limited to unauthorized solicitation or violations of the FCRA.

9Right to Remove Records

Farpace reserves the right to remove any record from its searchable index at any time to comply with privacy requests or government mandates. Removal of a record does not entitle the user to a credit refund.
